The Snowland Project is located at 800 metres high atop a mountain in Zhangjiakou, a city north-west of Beijing. It will be one of the sites for the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. The Snowland Project will use three Fujitec elevators to transport passengers from the mountain base to its ski resort at the summit. To meet the long-distance transportation needs, Fujitec mountain elevators, with the speed of 720 metres per minute (mpm), are equipped with a powerful traction machine and a 32- bit high speed elevator dedicated central processing unit (CPU). The three mountain elevators will be able to send 81 passengers from the base to the departure hall at the summit within 70 seconds. Fujitec is currently applying for this project to be listed in Guinness World Records upon its completion in 2022.
